The Partners are Certified Public Accountants

Jim Becher joined BDG in 1985 as a staff accountant, from college campus recruiting. Jim came up the ranks, partnership in 1992, and has two decades of extensive, diversified tax experience and also manages several audit clients. His clients range from over $500 million in real estate holdings, high tech venture companies, to individuals. Jim's easy going manner makes him a pleasure to work with and his high level of talent in both tax and accounting, make him exceptionally sharp at identifying and resolving key client service matters.
On a personal note… wife Michelle and two children, live in Parsippany, NJ. Sports enthusiast. Jim was an All County baseball pitcher in high school. Graduated Ramapo College.
 

Neil Della Torre founded BDG in 1982, after a career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, starting with a 6 by 8 foot office and no clients.  Neil manages the audit and attestation practice and carefully coordinates with BDG tax talents. Clients' needs served include Sarbanes-Oxley carve out work, a world leading filter manufacturing company, many employee benefit plan audits, and some individuals. Neil is also an Accredited Business Valuator under the AICPA. Neil taught cost accounting at NYU and a local college. He devotes substantial time to BDG staff development. His mentor and personal advisor at PwC became Chairman Worldwide.
Personal… wife Pat, five children, live in River Edge, NJ. Neil was the Bergen County wrestling champion, wrestled at Rider University, became President of the Accountants Club.

Joe Gitto joined BDG from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1989 as a partner. Joe honed his distinguished tax talents at 3 of the Big 4 firms over 13 years, including an offer to run a major city's tax practice. Joe's tax leadership, as well as highly respected business advice, has risen BDG to the highest tax and consulting service level. Partner-in-charge of several national and world known prominent companies, Joe is also personal tax and planning advisor to many executives and other high net worth people. Joe was president of the Estate Planning Council of Bergen County. Joe is recognized by his colleagues as being in an elite class of tax and business professionals.
Personal…wife Linda and three children, lives in Allendale, NJ. Raised in Brooklyn, considers summers at Long Island shores his second hometown, a fishing enthusiast. Competitive track career. Graduate of Villanova University and also holds a masters degree in taxation.

Retired partner, Bill Malachowski, joined BDG in 1983 after retiring from ITT, there 18 years, where he was the head of the SEC department. Bill started his illustrious career at Arthur Andersen and was also controller of Mack Trucks, there 15 years. Partner in 1984, Bill's BDG partnership agreement was for 10 years during which time he was instrumental in building and monitoring BDG's solid Quality Control policies and procedures. Truly a world class accountant. Inducted into the BDG Hall of Fame in 1995. Now works part time, mostly on Quality Control monitoring.
Personal…wife Lore, two children and 7 grandchildren. Lives in HoHoKus, NJ where he tends to his own property gardens. Spends long vacations in Vienna, Lore's hometown. Fordham University.
